When will it stop? What should I expect next? Am I the only one who’s going through this back and forth? Please don’t hold anything against me if I seem distant or want to be left along. This is not normal!
Growing up back in my day, games or toys were simple and fun. I loved a yo-yo even though my brother was much better than I was, at least his coordination was on point. Probably why now I’m a bit more competitive when it comes to my brothers. Love ya fellas!
Just take a minute to think back when times were much simpler, nothing was too complicated and it seemed as though everyone around you was on the same level. The only thing that would possibly give you any heartburn or worry, was completing classwork/homework in a timely manner before the teacher called your parents. When did life start to become a chore that you didn’t like? Now, I know that circumstances can be challenging and we all will be tested. Jesus was tested also. I remind myself constantly, that God doesn’t give us more than we can bear and always gives us a way out. Keep in mind too the way out, just may have you go through it and not get burned! Let that set in!
One of my favorite songs by Yolanda Adams is The Battle is the Lord’s. Those lyrics will radiate through your spirit lifting that heaviness and bring peace to your countenance. As confusion as it may be, all things work out for His glory and with faith, even the size of a mustard seed, you have to believe that.
For the first question of when it stops, I will have to praise my way through that yo-yo life. The second question of expectation, my praise is an indication that God to show up and show out. Told a someone, I don’t want to show out and the only charge I need is on my phone! Lastly, the question of being the only one going through being tossed back and forth, you’re definitely not alone. We all are going through some kind of situation. If you’re not, just live long enough. God’s word teaches us to speak life into those situations, bring it all under subjection and give it all to God! Waves toss back and forth, not you! Those waves can cause you to lose hope and faith, please don’t! Stand and praise while playing with that yo-yo.
James 1:6 (ESV):
"But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind."
Be Kept!
