Only charge…the phone

How many times during the day have you thought to yourself, “is this for real”?  Please forgive the grammar, however, I have a feeling we have all said it exactly like that phrase.  Can you imagine yourself looking around with a puzzled look as if you’re on Candid Camera, just knowing in the back of your mind, this really isn’t happening.  As I pen this message, I’ve done this so many times and hope that no one takes a picture because my facial expressions are absolutely hilarious.  Bottom line, all this has happened to me and think back carefully because yes, it has happened to you.  The only charge needed is on the phone!

Over the last few years, human behaviors have changed and not for the better.  From ages toddler to 100, no one is absolved from this and it is sad to know that it could have been avoided just by treating everyone the way you would want to be treated.  And that’s written in the word!  The Golden Rule, Matthew 7:12 “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” This way of behaving has been thrown out the window.  In what world does it make it right for anyone to be treated less than? And when there’s some type of retaliation, there’s a problem and the aggressor cries out.  Once again, the only charge needed is on the phone!

A few emotions come into play such as anxiety, stress and anger, all may have a negative impact on the body, mentally and physically.

The anxiety can trigger a “fight or flight” response, overloading our system with adrenaline and cortisol, both of which affect the body and mind.  Our minds will have racing thoughts, unable to concentrate, feeling irritable, restless, and disrupting sleep.  I love my sleep, that’s my downtime, please don’t mess up my sleep!  Our bodies experience rapid heart rate, chest tightness, rapid and/or shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, headaches, muscle tension, and weakened immune response.

Stress can put our system into “survival mode”.  Physically our bodies will experience extreme exhaustion, a deep tiredness that doesn’t improve no matter how hard we try.  Once again there’s a disruption in sleep and then add complete loss of appetite.  To a foodie, that can cut deep!  Persistent tension headaches with that tension in our shoulders neck and back.  Racing heart, elevated blood pressure, weakened immune response and dizziness.  The feeling of being detached from emotions, depression, lack of motivation, impatience, sudden anger, panic attacks, brain fog, memory issues and unable to make decisions.

Anger will cause an immediate “fight or flight” response.  There’s an immediate spike with our blood pressure, heart rate and respiration because of the release of adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol.  Blood flow rushes to major muscles for physical action and muscles tense as the body temperature rises.  Anger increases your risk for high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and weakened immunity.  Physically dealing with headaches, stomach issues, and sleep disruption.  You are unable to make rational decisions, brain fog, chronic irritability, emotionally exhausted and depression.

Having to put all of this information together was very informative for me. I’ve known quite a few individuals with issues with anger and they have every one of these triggers. So, having a fully charged phone is the only charge you need and that’s the only thing worth the charge!

Be Kept!
