Your Integrity
With so much going on these days, wanted to send out a reminder of a post that I hold near and dear to my heart.
Who are you when no one is watching? When no one else is around, are you the same person?
Walking into a store going up and down aisles, there are items on the floor, messy clothes on hangers, or misplaced merchandise, do you leave it as you see it? Maybe you’re the person who made the mess. Regardless, if the cameras are in place. Not your home and why should it matter, there’s a janitor at night to clean up. What if none of us took the time to clean up or make an area presentable, even if it takes an extra effort? Would you?
In everything we do, there’s an element of honesty in our actions. You will never know who’s watching or what kind of impact your actions will have. All kinds of eyes are on you, from children to adults. Watching your response and observing interactions to situations. If you try to be two different individuals (one in public and one in private), the true you will always come out. I pray that you can live with the true you. Remember, what’s done in darkness will come to light. Who are you when no one is watching?
One of several definitions for integrity; the quality of being honest, having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. The Bible mentions integrity 16 times. The Hebrew word for integrity is translated uprightness.
My prayer for us all; Lord God, I pray with every action, whether it’s great or small, I do unto you and not man. Move self out of the way to show kindness, honesty with a moral heart and being a woman or man of integrity in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Be Kept!
