As I sit here…..

As I sit here with music playing through my AirPods, everything around me on the outside of my bubble is silent and only my thoughts exist. As I sit, I reflect on the day and on days past. As I sit, I pray for others before I pray for myself. As I sit, I begin to journal and make notes to reflect back. As I sit, I also have squirrel moments because of the music playing in my ear, then start daydreaming while enjoying the music. As I sit here.

Some days certain situations weigh heavily on me and the need for support from those I trust is far greater than I can imagine or explain. I find myself retreating into a quiet zone to self-preserve and self-protect. As I sit here. It’s only human nature and nothing wrong with retreating, it may just be me. The trust circle could be a phone call or text away until you feel comfortable with face-to-face support. As I sit here. There are some things that we hold close to our hearts that no one can find. Because we want to make sure we keep that part away from scrutiny and criticism. Basically, not everyone needs to know your business. Advice from my mom.

However, if you serve the same God that I do, who can cause the lame to walk, the blind to see and heal a leper, then I can sit as long as needed. While sitting here will always praise my way through. While you’re waiting during these times, you may have to help others and watch to see how God moves, bringing joy to your soul. Be careful of distractions, those that will have you being pulled in so many directions because the enemy wants confusion. As I sit here, I can say with all my heart, I’m thankful for every moment I have to myself because it’s in those moments that I can have peace.
